At the end of September 2024, the number of foreign cross-border workers active in the canton of Geneva amounted to 112,100, an increase of 1.6% compared to the previous quarter, reports theOCSTAT.

In Switzerland, 403,200 people have a border authorization (G permit), including 28% in the canton of Geneva. This number represents an increase of 0.4% compared to the first quarter of 2024.

At the end of Lake Geneva, the increase in the number of cross-border workers is therefore greater than at the national level.
