Extended text of Pope Alé Niang :

In my humble opinion political practice must be based on ethics, values and responsibility rather than personal attacks, invectives and malicious schemes.

Politicians who aspire to lead this country must have high ethical standards in their personal behavior. This means acting with honesty, rectitude and responsibility.

Mutual respect must be an essential value that cements relationships between political actors. It means having the ability to treat your opponent with dignity, even when there is disagreement.
Senegal has gone through heavy challenges in recent years. And the country aspires to more serenity.

The Senegalese hope to see a peaceful political space where each actor can express their opinions and ideas without resorting to personal attacks and insults. Mutual respect promotes a healthier political climate, where ideas can be discussed rationally, where differences can be accepted, and where political choices can be respected.

Unfortunately this electoral campaign is tarnished by insults and personal attacks. Which does not honor this generation of politicians who dream of a renewal of the political class.
