Maria Mettral has the gift of announcing rain while bringing sunshine into your living room. One of the emblematic figures of RTS will say goodbye on air this Sunday. At 8 p.m. on RTS 1, the well-known weather miss in French-speaking Switzerland will present her latest weather report, 35 years after taking her first steps on television.
She joined French-speaking Swiss Television as a weather presenter in April 1989, and this part-time role allowed her to pursue her career as an actress, but also to try out numerous roles within TSR. She has participated in programs of all kinds, lent her voice to Babibouchettes, and starred in the sitcom Curlers. Maria Mettral also gives voice acting lessons to her colleagues presenting RTS broadcasts, a role that she will continue in the coming months.
