The capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, will host the 29eConference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), November 11-22, where leaders from government, business and civil society will seek to accelerate action to combat the crisis climatic.

We spoke with Timothée Poisot, professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Montreal and researcher at the Center for Biodiversity Science in Quebec, to give us a picture of the issues at stake at this important international conference.
