Dakar -The Club of Moroccan Investors in Senegal (CIMAS) highly welcomed the new transformation in the way of managing the affairs of Moroccans residing abroad (MRE), ordered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in his speech delivered at the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Green March.

“The new Royal Vision concerning the institutional system dedicated to MRE constitutes a new shift and is part of the particular interest that the Sovereign grants to the concerns of His subjects established abroad,” affirmed the president of the club, Mohamed Lahlou, in a statement to MAP.

Mr. Lahlou sees in this restructuring an opportunity for all Moroccans abroad to strengthen their ties with the motherland and to actively contribute to the development of the Kingdom, since the phase that the cause of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom is going through requires the mobilization of all.

According to him, the announced reform of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad will further promote investments in the southern provinces, expected to become a hub for Africa.

The Club of Moroccan Investors in Senegal also welcomed the announcement of the creation of the Mohammedia Foundation for Moroccans living abroad, which will serve as a tool dedicated to the management of initiatives and will offer support reinforced for MREs in different areas.

This Royal Initiative is likely to promote the skills of MREs and to bring the voice and expectations of members of the Moroccan community abroad to the various administrations and national institutions, he concluded.
