For once, Mark Gurman has just revealed new information on future Apple devices. First of all, let us remember that these should be considered with caution because they are not confirmed by the manufacturer. Now that the warning is over, let’s move on to the file: MacBook Pros may soon change design. A makeover of the best Apple laptops could indeed happen no later than 2025, or the following year. A timetable that also reminds us of that of a possible folding iPhone, even if this one could ask us to wait even longer to see its color.
Besides, Mark Gurman is rather stingy with details and does not tell us much more about the next MacBook Pro. But that is without counting on numerous patents filed by the manufacturer, which give us a glimpse of its most confidential projects. According to one of these documents that we had already mentioned in the past, the famous illuminated apple which previously sat on the back of Californian laptops could thus make a comeback. With reduced energy consumption, essential for the public looking for MacBook Pros and therefore, often, portable and durable equipment on a single charge.
Is the end of the traditional keyboard already on the way?
Other rumors suggest that a detachable key on the MacBook Pro keyboard could turn into a mouse. However, we can bet that this innovation seems a bit advanced for its time, so much so that we don’t imagine it arriving in official stores in 2026 or 2027. On the other hand, more subtle changes such as a thinner chassis or a better size/screen ratio seem much more accessible in Cupertino, in the coming semesters.
