Ousmane Sonko, head of the Pastef party list for the legislative elections on November 17 and no less Prime Minister, is ready to do battle with Madiambal Diagne, boss of the Avenir Communication group. He filed a complaint against the latter. Mr. Sonko criticizes Mr. Diagne for “his repeated attacks” against his person.
According to “Les Echos” which provides the information in its publication this Friday, the complaint letter was filed with Urban Security (SU). Among other grievances, the Prime Minister estimated that “Madiambal Diagne has crossed the line” by calling him a “liar”.
Madiambal Diagne was quick to respond. According to him, reports the same source, this complaint is “a means used by the leader of Pastef to neutralize him and prevent him from campaigning.” Madiambal Diagne, nominated on the list of the opponent Amadou Bâ (Jamm ak Njariñ) has, however, invited the head of the Pastef list to receive blows as he gives them. “Ousmane Sonko, who is throwing blows during this campaign period, must expect to receive some,” he said.
Madiambal Diagne went further, underlines Les Échos: “He wrote to the Prosecutor to give him his point of view on the ins and outs of this case.”
