A general mobilization around transpartisan collaboration between the executive and Parliament. This is Michel Barnier's wish to fight effectively against drug trafficking which will no longer be solely in the hands of the Ministry of the Interior but the fruit of close work with the Ministry of Justice but also the services of Bercy and the Ministry of Social Affairs.
Expected in Marseille this Friday, the Ministers of the Interior and Justice will be in Matignon this Thursday afternoon, according to information from Le Figaro. For this general mobilization against organized crime, Michel Barnier wishes to prepare the government plan with his ministers based on the proposed law and the Senate report on drug trafficking signed by Étienne Blanc (LR) and Jérôme Durain (PS).
“This crime is an unprecedented threat which risks undermining the very foundations of institutions,” Matignon assured Le Figaro.
Friday in Marseille, new announcements are expected by ministers traveling in the city where the settling of scores between drug traffickers is particularly murderous and sordid, with the involvement of young people aged 14-15 as hired killers. They will present their solutions in the current legal framework but also the legislative developments envisaged to better fight against drug trafficking.
Organized crime is also spreading to medium-sized towns after several bloody shootings linked to drug trafficking. A “tipping point” was judged by Bruno Retailleau in Rennes at the start of the week.
