“You can only love your country when you win” – Telquel.ma

Joe Biden spoke in front of the cameras at the White House this Thursday, November 7. Calmly, the 46th president in the history of the United States recognized the defeat of his party, and of his vice-president.

“We are in a democracy, where the will of the people is always sovereign”he declared. The Democrat claimed to have spoken with Donald Trump to congratulate him on his victory. “I assured him that my entire administration will work with its teams to ensure a peaceful and orderly transition. This is what the American people deserve.”he said.

As a symbol, to oppose his predecessor – and successor – Joe Biden worked to cast no doubt on the result of the vote, and describes the electoral system as “fair, honest and transparent”.

“For some Americans, this day is victorious. For others, it’s a defeat. But campaigns are competitions between two competing visions. The country chooses one or the other. We accept his choice. You can only love your country when you win”a philosophé Joe Biden.

The 46th President of the United States believes that today, neighbors see each other as adversaries. He calls on them again to consider themselves as compatriots, and to “lower the temperature”.

But lowering the temperature does not mean giving up. “We have 64 days left to govern, let’s make every day count,” he declared. “We are leaving behind the strongest economy in the world”he also congratulated himself.

He also congratulated his vice-president Kamala Harris, “who led an inspiring campaign, of which she should be proud”he stressed. Final words, words of hope and encouragement for his party, “setbacks are inevitable, but giving up is unforgivable”he insisted.
