It was a very special day that awaited Iris Mittenaere. This Wednesday, November 6, Miss France 2016 had an appointment with justice and more particularly with son ex-compagnon, Bruno Pelat. The latter, heir and son of a real estate tycoon from one of the richest families in France, was appearing for acts of domestic violence after a complaint filed by Iris Mittenaere.
The latter appeared with an injured hand during the 17th edition of the Etam Show as part of Paris Fashion Week last September. The 22-year-old young man was arrested and taken into police custody. Having to be tried in immediate appearance, the hearing was postponed, Iris Mittenaere not feeling psychologically ready to attend, still in shock from the situation. She therefore requested a postponement of the hearing in order to be able to be present.

The postponement date was therefore set at this Wednesday, November 6, 2024, in the 23rd criminal chamber of the court from Paris. Bruno Pelat was notably judged for illicit use of narcotics and violence without incapacity by a person who was or had been the spouse, common-law partner or partner of the victim. With a somber expression and a closed face, Iris Mittenaere entered the court alongside her master lawyer Emilie Bruézière.
Very distressed by this breakup and by the violence she suffered, Iris Mittenaere was discreet regarding the affair. Diego El Glaoui's ex-partner made no allusion to this story on social networks, however receiving signs of support and affection from Internet users and hugs from her little Calypso, an adorable baby dog who is a fan of big stages of tears, which she recently adopted.
Comments by Iris Mittenaere were notably reported by the Parisian. She claimed that Bruno Pelat “allegedly punched her, hit her head against a wall and belittled her, threatening to 'make her lose her contracts' or 'fire her father'.“Bruno Pelat had indicated: “My impulsivity is a problem. I will no longer have contact with her. I want her to be happy.” The accused has already been convicted four times, including one for violence against his father and another for beating his previous partner.
Bruno Pelat remains presumed innocent of the charges against him until the case is closed.
