Drinking water: Commissioning of two demineralization stations in Settat

This innovative project is part of SRM Casablanca-Settat’s commitment to ensuring the security of the region’s drinking water supply. It aims, in fact, to exploit the groundwater for the purposes of supplying drinking water, explains a press release from the company.

The project consisted, according to the same source, of the construction and installation of two monoblock brackish water demineralization stations, making it possible to produce 6 liters of drinking water per second, for the benefit of the inhabitants of the town of Settat. It is based on reverse osmosis technology, which provides high quality treated water, while being an ecological solution.

Funded by the Ministry of the Interior, this project is part of efforts to combat water stress, making it possible to exploit treated groundwater for the supply of drinking water and to meet the growing needs in this vital resource.

The inauguration ceremony of these two monobloc stations took place in the presence of the Governor of the province of Settat, representatives of local authorities, as well as the Director General of SRM Casablanca-Settat, accompanied by the Provincial Director and representatives of the regional society.
