In Ostend, three young people aged 13 attacked a 54-year-old man this Saturday afternoon. The events took place near a meeting point for LGBTQIA+ people.

This Saturday, an attack took place around 3 p.m. in Ostend. The events took place near the Rainbow House by the Sea, a meeting place for the LGBTQIA+ community. A 54-year-old man was violently attacked by three 13-year-old teenagers, reports Het Nieuwsblad.

I suddenly saw several young people start pulling and dragging my husband“, the victim’s companion told VTM News. “My husband tried to defend himself, but they pushed him to the ground. There wasn’t much he could do. Then they started stomping and hitting him. He is now in the hospital“, he continued.

Emergency services arrived quickly and managed to bring the situation under control. The victim suffered serious head injuries, including a broken nose.

Before a judge

This Sunday afternoon, the three young people were brought before a youth judge. These young people had already created a stir around the organization. The prosecution opened an investigation and managed to identify four young people. Three of them were arrested and brought before the courts after a hearing.
