This exhibition, which will remain open to the public until March 8, 2025, is organized into five thematic sections that highlight Morocco’s diverse and interconnected cultures and their lasting influence on contemporary life.

Thus, the section “Faces of Morocco: nature and society” illustrates the natural diversity of Morocco, also offering an overview of the daily life of the populations, while the section “Spirit of Morocco: Kings, saints and thinkers” highlights , through a journey through history, the efforts of the Sovereigns of Morocco in promoting scientific research in astronomy, mathematics, medicine and other fields.

The section “Fabric of Traditions: Moroccan Crafts” explores the central role of craftsmanship in the various Moroccan cultures, highlighting the prosperity of many trades passed down from generation to generation, such as leatherwork, textiles, weaving carpets, ceramics, jewelry and woodworking.

The fourth section, entitled “Traditional sounds of Morocco”, is a presentation of musical instruments used in various creations, ranging from Andalusian symphonies to Gnawa music, while the last section renders “Homage to Moroccan craftsmanship”, conciliatory authenticity and modernity.

As for the “Ektashif: Morocco” exhibition, it is an invitation to visitors to discover Moroccan artistic and cultural heritage through the eyes of Qatari artists.

The exhibition includes the works of Qatari artists and designers who visited Marrakech last April as part of an educational trip organized by the Museum of Islamic Art, an opportunity for these artists to draw inspiration of Morocco’s rich cultural heritage and distinctive Islamic architecture, and to create works of art that embody the spirit and beauty of the Kingdom.

The exhibition includes 36 works of art, ranging from clothing to jewelry, calligraphy, photography and wood.

At the end of this visit, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, accompanied by HE Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al Thani, chaired a reception offered in her honor on this occasion.
