During the first race for fillies, the Prix de la Chapelle went to Safia (Sottsass). Fabrice Chappet’s resident leaves a great impression. Forced to progress across the whole of Corsica, she took the lead at the start of a straight line and headed towards a very easy success. She is ahead of Fornali (Zarak), who finishes pleasantly ahead of the favorite Ashikidah (Belardo).
Bred by Riviera Equine, whose colors she wears, Haras d’Etreham and Glen Hill Farm, Safia comes from the first year of Sottsass production. His dam, the unpublished Stay Home (Le Havre) is a sister to Sivolière, who won in a Critérium du Becquet, and to Suphala, a winner of the Prix Chloé (Gr.3).
