Illegal broadcasting, a final blow to IPTV!

Illegal broadcasting of sporting events in may be on the verge of being eradicated, with the hunt for IPTV servers intensifying.

It was the miracle solution for watching matches without having to pay anything, but it is about to disappear. Efforts to put an end to illegal broadcasting are bearing fruit. IPTV may not have too many days left in it.

IPTV is dying

The judicial court, seized of a complaint from Canal+, ordered on October 10 the delisting by Google and Bing of around forty portals illegally broadcasting live Champions League matches, a competition in which the group French holds the rights. This is a real victory against piracy.

The decision also asks Bouygues Telecom, SFR, SFR Fiber, Free and Free Mobile as well as numerous operators operating overseas to block these platforms. Canal+ therefore believes that there is “many websites accessible from France broadcast almost systematically, free of charge, in streaming and live, among other things, matches from multiple competitions, particularly football.”

The League and the broadcaster are rubbing their hands

This news is also something to delight the Football League. Vincent Labrune and his disciples had recently made the fight against piracy their hobby horse. The idea behind it was to be able to perpetuate the newcomer DAZN and offer it the best conditions to get a return on investment. With such measures, it is obvious that the different parties are satisfied.
