This evening, the Rocket will play their first home game of the season. It will be an important moment.

And Stéphane Leroux noted that a few hours before the match, the hope of Canadian Logan Mailloux was conspicuous by his absence at the morning training of Pascal Vincent’s club.

Obviously, it was easy to think there was a connection to Mike Matheson’s injury. I slipped a word about it into a recent paper just a few minutes ago, in fact.

The Canadian confirmed the Ontarian’s recall a few minutes later. And since the 23-man roster was not complete, no further personnel moves are necessary.

We will obviously monitor whether Mike Matheson will be at the Canadian’s practice, he who did not finish yesterday’s game against the Kings. We might think that the veteran won’t be there, but we’ll see.

The Canadian will train at 11 a.m. this morning in Quebec before taking a flight to New York. Tomorrow evening, the Islanders will receive a visit from Flannel on Long Island.

What will the defense look like this morning at CH training? And tomorrow evening? Could Jayden Struble AND Logan Mailloux play tomorrow’s game?

Remember that Mailloux did not have a superb training camp with CH, but no one expected to see him spend the entire season with Laval either.

And he started strong on the road last week…

By not playing tonight in the AHL, Mailloux will end his streak of 74 consecutive games for Laval. He is the only player to play every Rocket game last season.

To be continued, therefore.

In burst

– We know it’s usual, but…

– To be monitored.

– To read.
