The information is clarified by the public prosecutor of Tours, Catherine Sorita-Minard, in a new press release published on X (formerly Twitter), Wednesday October 16, 2024. “Offences relating to waste management (6 offenses and 6 fines), town planning (4 offences) and the regulation of ICPE – installations classified for environmental protection (2 offences) have already been been raised »she says.
Catherine Sorita-Minard adds that “findings made during the inspection and still being analyzed are likely to increase the balance sheet”.

The day before, the magistrate had confirmed having carried out a coordinated check by Codaf (Departmental Anti-Fraud Operational Committee) and Colden (Operational Committee to Combat Environmental Delinquency), Monday October 14, 2024, of the company Verte Vallée. Laurent Raineau, mayor of the town and head of the company, denounced the scale of the deployment and threatened to resign.
