Attempted robbery in Bienne: he hits a woman with a stone
Attempted robbery in Bienne: he hits a woman with a stone

A woman who was waiting for her bus in Bienne was violently attacked by a man, the Bernese cantonal police said on Tuesday.

The events occurred last Sunday evening, late in the evening, at rue des Jardins. The victim was approached by a stranger demanding that she hand over her money.

When the woman did not comply, the man hit her several times with stones. Without having achieved his goals, the attacker fled in the direction of rue du Général Dufour.

The injured victim received treatment on site and was then taken to hospital by ambulance.

The Bernese Cantonal Police are calling for witnesses. Anyone likely to provide information useful to the investigation is asked to contact the telephone number +41 32 324 85 31.

The alleged perpetrator is a man aged 40 to 50, approximately 170 cm tall and with curly hair. He speaks French with an accent. At the time of the incident, he was wearing black clothes.
