It was this excessive question from Maimouna Ndour Faye which triggered the anger of the former minister on Wednesday evening on 7TV. Abdoulaye Saydou Sow got carried away and responded to the journalist, seeking to maintain a certain solidarity around the elected president, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, by highlighting his unique role as head of the establishment:
“Maimouna, you show a lack of respect for the President of the Republic. How can you say that it is a pair who are at the head of this country. He is a President of the Republic who was elected on March 24, 2024, his name is Bassirou Diomaye Faye. He is the only one responsible to the nation.”
