The Bundesliga inherits a 5th qualifying place in the LDC?

Next year, with the UEFA reform, two additional places in the Champions League must be allocated to the two countries which have the best run in Europe this year. Italy has won its ticket and there is only one left and it is the Germans who are very well on their way to obtaining it. Indeed, as reported RMC Sport and according to the calculations of Bild, a draw would be enough in the four remaining matches (excluding the final) of Bundesliga clubs in Europe. Namely the return between PSG and Dortmund as well as the return between Real and Bayern. Added to this, the double confrontation between Bayer Leverkusen and Roma.

By drawing yesterday, Borussia almost assured themselves of playing in the UCL next season since they are in 5th place, 12 points behind 6th in the league. It is therefore this fifth place which will now be synonymous with qualification for the Champions League.

France will therefore not see a fourth qualifying place for the LDC in Ligue 1 next season…
