With the start of the school year just a few days away, music streaming platform Spotify is extending the summer by revealing the ten most listened to songs in France during the summer season. The big winner of the summer hit of 2024 is the title “Imagine” by rapper Carbonne, a Montpellier artist with Andalusian origins. The song, released at the beginning of the summer, went viral on social networks, and rose to first place in the ranking.
In second place, we find the most streamed monthly French-speaking male artist on Spotify, Gims, with his song “Spider” in duet with the Belgian singer Dystinct. A reggaeton title completes the podium: “Gata Only” by Chilean artists Cris MJ and FloyyMenor.
Successful reconversion for Théodort, ex-YouTuber who released his first album “Imad” last May. He takes fourth place in the French top, with his song “Wayeh”. The rapper Ven1, originally from Hauts-de-Seine, takes 5th position with his ballad “Hakayet”, whose clip totals more than 23 million views on YouTube.
Two titles for KeBlack
Rapper KeBlack, born in Creil in the Oise, achieved a double by occupying two places in the ranking with ” Aucun Attache ” in 6th place and ” Boucan “, a duet with Franglish, in 8th place. The collaboration between Heuss L’Enfoiré and Werenoi takes seventh place with ” Mélanine “.
Completing the ranking, “Petit génie” by Jungeli, in collaboration with Abou Debeing, Marseille rapper Alonzo, Imen Es and Lossa, takes the penultimate place. The song, released over a year ago, continues to break all records and seduce listeners.
Finally, in tenth place we find a title with a more rock’n’roll sound: the song “Beautiful Things” by the American singer-songwriter Benson Boon, who notably participated in the show “American Idol” across the Atlantic.
