He allegedly entered the museum and then “disabled” several computer systems. She did not provide any additional details.
A message on its website said Saturday morning that the museum was “open but due to an IT infrastructure problem, some galleries had to be closed.”
He added that “the capacity” of the public had to be “restricted” and that priority will be given to people who have reserved a visiting slot.

Part of the museum's permanent collection was also closed on Friday following the incident, according to Britain's PA news agency.
-The museum has been shaken in recent years by the theft of more than 2,000 pieces from its collections by a former employee. The case was made public in August 2023.
Some would have ended up on the online auction site eBay and the museum seemed to know about it since 2021. Hundreds of objects have been found since then.
The scandal led to the fall of its director, Hartwig Fischer. He was replaced by Nicholas Cullinan, who was previously head of the National Portrait Gallery.
Founded in 1753, the institution, which is free to visit, is the UK's most popular tourist attraction.
