Midnight Messiah : a new epic piece for Dream Theater fans
Dream Theater continues to captivate with his latest single, Midnight Messiahfrom the album Umbrellascheduled for February 7, 2025 via Insideout Music. This 7:58 -minute piece is accompanied by a video clip in the form of a tour journal, capturing the energy of their recent concerts in Europe and South America.
Mike Portnoy, back in the group after 13 years, signs his first textual contribution here since Black Clouds & Silver Linings In 2009. About the song, he declared: “It was incredible to write words again and contribute to this new story in Parasomnia. DT fans will be able to appreciate some hidden references to my old texts. The video clip perfectly illustrates the excitement of the first stages of our tour. ”

-An album centered on sleep disorders
Produced by guitarist John Petrucci, recorded by James “Jimmy T” Meslin and mixed by Andy Sneap, Umbrella promises to be an immersive musical journey of 71 minutes. The title of the album refers to sleep disorders such as sleepwalking, sleep paralysis and night terrors, a theme explored in songs like Night Terror, A Broken Manand of course, Midnight Messiah.
