Julien Sale (photo) is six shots behind Thai Sadom Kaewkanjana after the second round of the inaugural event of the Asian Tour. Gary Stal recovered but he was starting too far away to imagine overcoming the obstacle.

The Thai Sodom Kaewkanjana returned a card of 66 (-4) on the course of Manila Southwoods G & CCand is three strokes ahead of Micah Shin au Smart Infinity Philippine Open.

The complete ranking

The Korean-American returns to competitive after a hip injury kept him out all year. He was born in the United States but spent his youth in the Philippines, where he won his first and only title in l’Asian Tour in 2017. Micah Shin signed a score of 65 that only Justin Quiban beat (card of 64 punctuated by an eagle and four birdies).

Julien Sale 10th despite a triple bogey

The latter thus rose to tenth place, in the company of Julien Sale who, for his part, returned a card of 68 (-2). Far in the entry list forInternational Series India which will be played next week, the Reunionese knows he still has to nibble a few places and sign a top 5 to move on to New Delhi.

However, there was no miracle for Gary Stallwho started from too far to hope to pass the cut missed by six shots despite a much better card: 70 (par) against 78 during the first round. Too bad for the Lyonnais, who like his compatriot approached this season full of unknowns with enthusiasm – notably the level of play on this circuit – after a difficult year on the Challenge Tour and Missed Cards in Europe.
