Kanye West revealed on his networks that he participated in the creation of his daughter North’s very first album, also showing the teenager at work.
Teamwork. While the eldest daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West announced last March that she was embarking on the production of a first album called “Elementary School Dropout”, the release date of which has not been revealed, her father gave news about this project.
Kanye West published several messages on Monday, January 20, discussing his eldest daughter’s future opus, notably showing the teenager at work. The artist filmed the 11-year-old girl creating the rhythm of a song.
Ye participates in the project
Kanye West, who officially changed his name in October 2021 to Ye, also said he worked on rhythm loops for North, at the latter’s request. “This little girl made me love music again. She asked me to make beats for her, I took over ASR [un type de sampler, NDLR]I cut beats for his album,” noted the controversial rapper alongside a black and white photograph of the little girl.
-In this publication, the rapper also mentioned his next album entitled “Bully”, explaining that he also “cut all the beats with his bare hands” for this future project, announced last September.
This isn’t the first time the father and daughter have collaborated. North in fact put his voice on the title “Talking / Once again”, unveiled in February 2024 and taken from the album “Vultures 1” by Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign.
The title of the first opus of North West“Elementary School Dropout”, is also a nod to his father’s first album “The College Dropout”, released in 2004.
