While the presentations for the 2025 MotoGP season continue, Honda makes its first laps of the year in Thailand. Last week, the HRC Test team carried out private tests near Buriram, where the next campaign will kick off in a little over a month.
The opportunity to put his brand new testing team to work. As a reminder, since 2025, Aleix Espargaró and Takaaki Nakagami have joined Stefan Bradl, to support him in all his reserve driver tasks.
If the Japanese had taken some vacation since the end of the 2024 MotoGP season, the Catalan had not rested much. He had since completed a six-week training camp with the professional cycling team, Lidl Trek, to best prepare for his career change.

Trackside observers in Thailand
These two days of testing were also the first for the brand's new technical director on the track. The latter had missed the official Barcelona Test, due to his contractual commitments with Aprilia. He has since started work in his new factory.
-Johann Zarco and his new teammate, Somkiat Chantra, also made the trip to witness the work of the test team as observers.
Honda will return to the track in a few days, during the Sepang Shakedown, from February 31 to 2. It will be followed by the official Sepang test, from February 5 to 7. A few days later, the entire MotoGP field will travel to the Buriram circuit to take part in a few additional days of testing in Thailand.
Concerning the brand's future machines, Honda will unveil its new livery on February 1st. Its satellite team, LCR Honda, will do so a few days later, during a presentation scheduled for February 8.
