What are some of the K-POP groups that will debut in the year 2025?
While JYP will launch its brand new boygroup called KickFlip this month, today we’re looking at agencies that have already confirmed the debut of a new group this year.
JYP Entertainment
We obviously start with JYP Entertainment, since KickFlip, the agency’s new boygroup, recently announced its debut. The group will make its official debut on January 20, but the boys have already unveiled a first pre-release MV.
SM Entertainment
As for SM Entertainment, the debut of two groups is planned for 2025.
First of all, SM plans to debut MYTRO, its very first trotting boygroup. Announced in 2024, this new group will launch into an unusual style. This will indeed be a unique attempt by a major K-POP agency to enter the trotting market. The group consists of Tey, Jung Yoonjae, Shohei, Lim Chaepyoung and Seo Woohyeok.
But 2025 will also be the era of a new girl group at SM Entertainment. Five years after the debut of aespa, SM enters the future generation of girl groups with the debut of its new girl group scheduled for the first quarter of 2025. Preparations for the group have already been finalized, and the lineup of members has been decided. We should see the teasers arrive and discover the group very soon.
YG Entertainment
YG is also in the game, as was confirmed at the end of last year.
In this year 2025, YG Entertainment will debut a brand new group, but the mystery still hangs over what we can expect. Indeed, plans for a new YG group’s debut have been confirmed, but no further indications have been revealed. We will therefore have to be patient to find out more during the year.
PLEDIS Entertainment
On the HYBE side too, several groups are in preparation.
We start with PLEDIS Entertainment. The SEVENTEEN agency has just separated from fromis_9, the girlgroup having concluded its contract on December 31, 2024. Now, we are looking to the future and a new girlgroup will be born this year within the agency . Little information is circulating on the subject, but a girlgroup will indeed debut at PLEDIS in 2025.

We stay at HYBE with Source Music.
The agency which formerly housed GFRIEND and which today manages LE SSERAFIM will also create a new girlgroup this year. Three years after the debut of LE SSERAFIM in 2022, the agency is in fact preparing the debut of a brand new female group, even if no information on the concept of the group has yet been revealed.
