A controversial position
After listening to an extract from “Nuit Sauvage”, the host abruptly interrupted the extract of the song by Slimane, currently in turmoil with accusations of assault and sexual harassment launched by several technicians during his tour in 2023. “That’s enough,” he said, destabilizing the set and the candidate in question, Benoît. The latter then asked: “You don’t like him?”to which the host replied: “We will let others decide in any case what to think.”
An icy cold was then felt on the set. The candidate finally chose the title of the interpreter of “Mon Amour”. Nagui did not stop there. “When it's you who sing it, it suits me”, he slipped, clearly expressing his opinion on the affair surrounding the artist.
It didn't take long for Internet users to react on social networks: “I liked Nagui, but since his reflection on Slimane, I have been disappointed by the character“, or even “Nagui, the moralist… Slimane, like everyone else, has the right to the presumption of innocence” could we read on X (formerly Twitter).
