Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, J.Cole… when US rap apologizes to Kendrick Lamar!

But what is happening in the US scene ? While Kendrick Lamar is currently on top with the release of his new surprise album “GNX”which is a hit and is already considered the album of the year 2024all eyes are on him. The year 2024 seems to have been a real playground for the Compton artist, always present in the great moments of rap.

Between his election to perform at the next SuperBowl to the New which triggered a beef with Lil Wayneand its clash which resumes with a vengeance with Drakethe latter going so far as to file a complaint against UMGit was not easy for Kendrick Lamar. However, a lull seems to be returning, or even better: certain rappers, and not the least, have apologized to the interpreter of “Humble”.

First of all, J.Colewho released sounds attacking Kendrick, publicly apologized and even removed those tracks. But that’s not all. According to Joe Budden, Lil Wayne was planning a clash with Kendrick before changing his mind. Finally, Wayne called Lamar to congratulate him on his selection for the show du SuperBowlstating:

“We called each other and I wished him the best. He realized how important this was to me, so he better tear it up!”

Finally, the most surprising reaction comes from Snoop Dogg. While he has just released a joint album with Dr.DreSnoop recently shared the song Drake, “Taylor Made Freestyle”a song that attacked Kendrick Lamar. Snoop publicly apologized:

“I left him a voicemail saying, ‘Nephew, it’s Uncle Snoop, I heard your message in your album. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have.’”

Interventions that are surprising to say the least, which show that Kendrick Lamar establishes itself more than ever as a central and respected figure in the industry. All that would be missing is Drake he himself apologizes… but the chances seem low. To be continued!
