Guitarist Brian “Head” Welch confirms that Korn has already made a lot of progress on his future album, but the release is not happening right away. In the meantime, the band will play Hellfest and Graspop Metal Meeting in 2025.
A new album in preparation
Legendary Nu Metal band Korn is in the midst of creating its next album, successor to Requiem released in 2022. During a recent interview with the podcast Everblackguitarist Brian “Head” Welch shared some information on the progress of the work: “We wrote a lot. We are still working [sur l’album]…We're very happy with what we have, but it's going to take time [pour le terminer]. And I don’t know how long — maybe next summer, maybe next winter, I don’t know, but it won’t be soon.”
If the creative process seems well advanced, the group takes its time to refine the project. Welch also highlighted the difficulty of maintaining such longevity in their career while remaining innovative and true to their style.

Uncertainties around Fieldy
One question remains unanswered: will Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu participate in this album? Korn's historic bassist left the group for personal reasons in 2021, and since then, he has been replaced on stage by Ra Díaz (ex-Suicidal Tendencies). Although the latter performed perfectly for the live performances, no official announcement was made regarding his integration for the studio sessions.
Major concerts planned for 2025
While waiting for the release of the new album, Korn will be present on several major stages next year. The group is notably confirmed for:
- The Hellfest Open Air in Clisson, France,
- The Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel, Belgium,
- An exceptional concert alongside System Of A Down in New Jersey.
These events will delight fans looking for thrills, especially since Korn remains an essential reference in the Metal scene after more than three decades of career.
