In an interview for Current WomanJenifer confided without taboo about her physical complexes. While talking about her relationship with fashion, the singer explained that she admired the “freedom” which his mother demonstrates.
Jenifer took a long time to find her sartorial identity. With our colleagues from Current Womanthe one who has just released her album Jukebox spoke about the evolution of his relationship with fashion: “I allowed myself to say no. Initially, when I arrive at Star Ac’ , I didn’t really have a defined style. I was drowning in clothes because I didn’t really like my body“, confided the singer, now 42 years old. “I wasn’t very complicated. I didn’t know how to say no to someone for fear of offending or hurting them. But clearly, there were things that didn’t suit me at all”, she recalled, amused.
Over time, Jenifer ended up finding her style, even allowing herself some liberties when she goes on stage: “I have a sort of split personality. When I go on stage, I can grant myself many more things than in my daily life”, she said. A stylistic freedom that also comes from her mother, who inspired her a lot, as she confided: “When I went to help myself in her dressing room, I was really inspired by her too. My mother, today, she can wear sequins, leopard print, no matter how old she is. She assumes, she doesn’t care. She has a neon red scooter. That’s what I also like about her, it’s this freedom of expression”, said, admiringly, the ex of Maxim Nucci.
