Tuesday November 26, 2024, the one who also played in Marie-Line and her judge alongside Michel Blanc (after taking his first steps in cinema in The Aries Family by Éric Lartigau in 2014) celebrates its 28th anniversary. The opportunity to look back on the young mother’s somewhat complicated and very spontaneous beginnings in life, but also in her career. In March 2024, Louane confides in Marie Claire in a mental health interview and delivers an anecdote about a career choice that has never left her.
Louane, very honest about her mental health
“My thoughts prevent me from falling asleep. I can’t clear my head. Insomnia has been less frequent since my daughter was born. I have someone other than myself to manage, so I I decided I couldn’t get any worse.”. Louane has always been transparent about her mental health. To our colleagues, she admits to having “been followed psychologically almost all [sa] vie” and having started psychoanalysis when her daughter was born. A way for the singer and actress to better fight against her demons which date back to childhood, when a “child psychiatrist diagnosed [son] attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. At the time, Louane “I hate school. I think I don’t want to be separated from my parents. That’s what I’m deducing at the moment with my therapist. The students weren’t nice because they found me weird. I understand it: in the early 2000s, we didn’t talk about mental health, even less about that of children ‘Are you okay?’ was not a question that was asked at home. It was taboo. I had an illness, so I went to see a doctor and I took medication, period. Fortunately, during this painful period, she was able to count on the unwavering support of her sister, Louise.

Already in the playground, Louise did not let the others attack her sister. “My little sister protected and saved me. From others and from myself. When I was bullied in middle school, she stepped in to defend me. In 4th grade, I was ashamed to be rescued by my sister who was in 6th grade. Are you kidding? She’s now studying psychology.she tells Marie Claire. A bond so strong that the one whose real name is Anne Peichert instinctively thinks of her when she has to make the first, most important decision of her career: choosing her stage name. “I had five minutes to come up with my stage name, and she was the one I thought of. Above all else. At that time, she was the person who mattered most. I can’t say that anymore.” today for obvious maternity reasons…”she laughs. Louane was then born, from the contraction of their two first names. A gesture of love which, at the time, goes badly. “My little sister had a very bad experience, and that’s normal: I took a piece of her identity without her authorization”. More than ten years later, water has undoubtedly flowed under the bridges between the two sisters of this siblings who are as discreet as they are loving.
