A dream come true for fans of Misérables. More than 40 years after its creation, the musical comedy adapted from the work of Victor Hugo is back in France, at the Théâtre du Châtelet, in Paris, until January 2, 2025. A real event for this show with 130 million spectators around the world, and the dream opportunity to meet Jean Valjean, Javert or Causette, in the flesh.
This is not the first time that a great work of literature has been adapted into a musical, we obviously think of Notre-Dame of Parisby the same author. We also know that Calogero is working on adapting the Comte de Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. What will be next? To the Ladies’ Happiness by Émile Zola? The Promise of Dawn by Romain Gary? And why not Vernon Subutex by Virginie Despentes?
