“Today we have reached maturity, everyone has built their own individual career,” explains Daddy K, interviewed by Belga. “But every time there are three of us, we rediscover an old complicity that has never disappeared even if we don’t see each other for a while.”
For all these years, the public has not forgotten the group Benny B, underlines the DJ. “People need to remember this period of their lives,” he says. “Finding three people on stage, even if it is not the first time that this has happened in recent years, it remains exceptional.”
“People are always happy to see us again and always wonder what we’re going to do,” adds Perfect, who is also a DJ.
Benny B, for his part, underlines the fact that despite its separation the group has remained united and still offers interviews, shows and other television appearances. “People congratulate us that we are still friends and that we manage to do things together,” which is rare for a group that has been separated for a long time.
The expected audience will be multi-generational, the hit being appreciated as much by fans of the time as by young people who were made aware of it by their parents or who follow Daddy K on the radio or at festivals.
And at their age, even if they are undoubtedly no longer as flexible as when they started, the three artists put on a show: “The physical condition is no longer the same”, admits Perfect, “but we still have the “energy when we are carried by the public”, adds Daddy K. “We have this ease, this presence, which means that as soon as we have the microphone we are gone”, concludes Benny B who is originally a dancer.
