Min Hee Jin quit HYBE and ADOR.
Former CEO of ADOR, Min Hee Jin, announced her departure from HYBE and ADOR.
On November 20, she released a statement announcing her resignation and departure, following months of struggle between her and the agencies:
“Hello, this is Min Hee Jin.
Today, I am resigning from my position as internal director at ADOR.
Furthermore, I am terminating the shareholders' agreement with HYBE and intend to hold HYBE legally responsible for violations of this agreement.
Furthermore, I will take necessary legal measures one by one against the numerous illegal activities committed by HYBE and its subsidiaries.
Despite the infernal conflict that has lasted for more than seven months with HYBE, which began with the illegal audit of HYBE in April, I did everything in my power to respect the shareholders' agreement and restore ADOR to its state before April. However, HYBE has neither acknowledged its wrongdoing nor shown signs of change, leading me to conclude that further efforts would be a waste of time.
I had hoped that HYBE would admit its mistakes and worked tirelessly to protect NewJeans within HYBE. This is why I sent two internal denunciation emails in April.
But instead of thinking, HYBE fabricated absurd lies and publicly displayed its shameful illegal audit, an act of unprecedented stupidity. They accused me, a minority shareholder and CEO, of “management takeover” and made ignorant and irrational attacks that are hard to believe are coming from a large corporation.
After many twists and turns, it finally became clear that my report was based on undeniable facts and was a legitimate report, while HYBE's hideous lies and hypocrisy are exposed one by one.
In fact, HYBE probably knew all along that the content of my report was completely true and that my concerns were legitimate. However, for those who prioritized their own interests and advancement, the essence of “problem solving” was a task they mostly wanted to avoid.
I didn't expect them to repent, but I thought they would have at least a minimum level of awareness as human beings, which now seems to have been a naive error of judgment. Just as just breathing doesn't mean you're truly alive, I didn't want to cling to money and settle into this twisted organization.
HYBE continued to use its subsidiaries to engage in unreasonable lawsuits, bickering and unfair mediaplay to bury me, while hypocritically presenting a production delegation contract filled with toxic clauses as if they were doing me a great favor.
They insisted on discussing roles and responsibilities, the heart of the delegation contract, while simultaneously demanding incomprehensible conditions like forensic consent before the discussion, and insisting only on face-to-face meetings without providing the R&R document , which was an incomprehensible position.
Although they fired me unilaterally, they spread false information in the media that I had resigned as CEO to take on production roles. I am no longer surprised that those who spread false information demand “privacy” from others with such shamelessness.
HYBE's actions in 2024 will go down as an unprecedented incident in K-pop history.
Over the past seven months, I have devoted all my mental, economic and physical resources to reviving ADOR, which has been devastated by HYBE's serious violations of the shareholders' agreement.
It was a hellish battle against baseless violence from a group disguised as a big business, but I didn't back down and made every effort I could.
HYBE's moral decadence has reached its peak, and although their dirty mediaplay will continue, I'm not worried because the public has probably become aware of their habits.
However, if there are forces or media that slander me unfairly, I will not stand idly by and take legal action.
This unprecedented incident is not yet over, but I would like to express my sincere gratitude to many people, including the Bunnies, the NewJeans fans, who tirelessly supported and encouraged me for almost six months.
Ironically, through this fight against the worst company, I met the best people, which is a special blessing.
Some may not understand why I have endured this far, but there is a reason and meaning for someone like me to exist in this world.
I hope you continue to be interested in my new journey in K-pop.
I conclude this message with a feeling of relief, sharing these words with some people:
“One person’s malicious actions should never tarnish the essence of the profession. It's really bad. » »
