A little over two weeks ago, on June 11, 2024, France lost one of its greatest singers in the person of Françoise Hardy., who died at the age of 80 from cancer. Unfortunately, she did not have time to win her last fight before leaving, she who campaigned for the right to die with dignity. She leaves behind an incredible legacy, for which all French song pays homage to him. But alongside his profession as an artist, she was a wonderful woman and a doting mother, as Thomas Dutronc shows ushis son, in this new poignant tribute.
The singer has in fact decided to release a song and a clip, entitled “Dans tes yeux”, with which he pays tribute to his deceased mother. More than a tribute, the song is a true declaration of love, quite moving, with very sweet words. “You are the air, you are the wind, You are my after, my before, I loved you so much that I love you again, Even better and forever, Time passes but nothing erases, neither your smile nor your tenderness, Italy, our youth”we can hear him sing in the song.
To note that this poignant tribute in the form of a song is also the second extract from Thomas Dutronc’s next solo album, “Il n’est rien trop tard”, which is expected on September 13 next. If the song was necessarily written and composed before the sad news of the death of Françoise Hardy fell, in view of current events, it all takes on a new meaning.
