The King of Pop’s brothers and sisters as well as his son paid tribute to him on social networks on the occasion of the fifteenth anniversary of his death.

Fifteen years after the death of Michael Jackson, members of his family paid him a vibrant tribute this Tuesday. “I miss you dad,” his son Prince, now 27, wrote on Instagram. “The world was a better place when you were here.”

La Toya Jackson, the King of Pop’s sister, added: “You changed the world in so many ways with such immense talent! We love you! We will always miss you.”

“You’re gone way too soon,” she added, referring to her 1983 hit Gone Too Soon.

Tito Jackson, bassist in the Jackson 5 and brother of Michael Jackson, joined the tributes by publishing a black and white photo of the singer with key words specifying that he was “always in (their) hearts”.

“We miss you”

Another brother of the singer Thriller, Jackie Jackson, who was guitarist for the Jackson 5, indicated for his part that it was “hard to believe that it had already been 15 years without” him. “We miss you every day.”

TJ Jackson, Tito’s son, added in another post: “Thank you for everything you have done for me. I will always feel like the luckiest nephew in the world to have had you as an inspiration and gave me strength.”

The singer would have been 66 years old

Michael Jackson, who would have been 66 this year, died on June 25, 2009 of a heart attack caused by poisoning with an anesthetic. His doctor, Conrad Murray, was convicted of manslaughter.

If the singer’s image has been tarnished in recent years by accusations of sexual abuse of minors, the latter remains an essential figure in the world of music. A biopic starring his nephew Jaafar will be released in 2025.
