This Monday, June 24, the last episode of Married at first sight on M6. If this is bad news for fans, it is also an opportunity to finally know the outcome of the different marriages of this season 8. The last episode of Married at first sight is already available in preview on 6play Max and on MyCanal. Thus, we were able to witness the assessment of Laurie and Jean-Nicolas. Unlike the other candidates, they did not do so in front of the two experts Gilbert Bou Jaoudé and Estelle Dossin. They thus found themselves alone. It was Laurie who started to speak. She explained that she did not appreciate the fact that Jean-Nicolas said that he needed his friends to find his partner beautiful.

She thus launched: “It’s like when you say: ‘I want my wife to please my friends, but in terms of beauty, For me, that’s not mature.”, while confident: “It hurt me, that can’t be done.” Faced with these words, Jean-Nicolas immediately turned away and responded : “I’m a fairly calm, fairly mature person, I don’t necessarily appreciate the fact that you denigrate me by telling me that I’m not mature about that”. But Laurie didn’t give up and explained: “It’s not that I’m denigrating you but we’re going to set things straight, you attacked me on my physique, now I explain to you my feelings”. Communication was therefore complicated between the two candidates.

Did Laurie and Jean-Nicolas divorce after the conclusion of Married at First Sight?
After their honeymoon, Laurie and Jean-Nicolas did not see each other again until the assessment we witness in the last episode “What happened to them?” The two candidates who did not agree on several points therefore chose to divorce. “I think it’s clear between us. We’re not going to stay together. We need to divorce”said Laurie to her husband who confirmed the thing by affirming : “Divorce will be necessary”.
The young candidate also confided on camera: “I told her my point of view, she told me hers and we agree that we will not agree. So we won’t both move forward.” As for Laurie, she explained: “It’s a shame because we don’t have a good ending but in the meantime I know that Jean-Nicolas is not someone who suits me (…) He remains a good person”. The newlyweds therefore removed their wedding ring before leaving each other and heading their separate ways.
