Revealed in 2007 in Nouvelle Star, Julien Doré has never fallen back into the shadows. It must be said that his return to the tube Hi Lolita by Alizée immediately elevated him to the rank of star. In 2009, the young singer saw his career take a new turn when he won the Victoires de la Musique in the Revelation Album and Video Clip of the Year category for The limits. During this interview, Florent Pagny did not pull any punches. “A guy like Julien Doré, He’s really a not-nice guy from not-a-nice place.”he said. And to continue: “There are plenty of them like that, but I owe him one. (…) He’s not nice, it's his deep nature. It's true. After all, that doesn't mean he's not nice. Everyone says he's nice. Yes he's nice, but he's not nice”. Ouch!
Clara Luciani is angry with the singer
Fortunately, other artists appreciate Julien Doré. This is particularly the case of Clara Luciani who over the years became his great friend. Invited on Bernard Montiel's show on RFM in April 2021, the singer mentioned their collaboration on the title The island afterward. Also present in the clip, Clara Luciani performs the song with Julien Doré in the middle of a lake while we see her playing the piano.
However, the filming conditions were far from optimal according to the pretty brunette. “I was very cold. I’m a little angry with him! He made me go into a river. He said to me: 'Don't worry, I'll put you in some diving shoes and leggings.' (…) I almost found myself with fish in my feet after two minutes. I was crazy cold!”remembers Clara Luciani. If she describes Julien Doré as “brother”the singer nonetheless retains a spirit of vengeance: “As I have a song with him on my album, I'm going to find something a little traumatic to do with him in clip. I'm thinking of revenge.”.
