The end-of-year holiday season is officially underway. This Thursday, November 14, 2024, was the inauguration of the Christmas windows of Galeries Lafayette in Paris. For the occasion, the managers of the famous luxury boutique chose Vianney to inaugurate these pretty decorations. Honored, the singer made the trip with his wife Catherine Robert and their son Edgar.
Vianney increasingly rare on the front of the stage
At 33, Vianney is already taking a step back from the stage. Despite his talent and the demand of his fans, the singer has in fact decided to no longer do a concert tour. During various interviews, Vianney explained that this decision was not motivated by a disenchantment with the stage, but rather by a quest for balance.
The artist, who is also a new father, has expressed a desire to spend more time with his family and slow down the hectic pace of touring, which is often physically and emotionally exhausting. “I don’t want to be away anymore, I want to be there for my family. Touring is great, but it’s also a lot of absences.” he declared during a recent interview with RTL.
A rare appearance for a great event
This Thursday, November 14, 2024, Vianney made a rare appearance, for an event organized in the heart of Paris. The singer was in fact chosen to inaugurate the Galeries Lafayette Christmas windowsin the 9th arrondissement of the capital. For the occasion, the artist made the trip with his wife, the musician Catherine Robert, and with their three-year-old son, Edgar.
“I don’t tour anymore, I don’t do concerts anymore, it’s a period like that, it’s been a little over two years, so I always think twice, ten times as soon as someone offers me something, it has to make sense, it has to resonate” he declared when giving a short speech.
“25 years ago, I started this relationship with the Galleries, because my mother, who is there even though frankly, she doesn’t come to all the concerts, but there, she insisted on coming because we this story where she took me with the windows, on Wednesday afternoon, there was no school, so we could go see the windows” he then remembered.
And to conclude with emotion: “When suddenly there is childhood calling, resurfacing, and we no longer ask the question, and we go for it. To come and sing there, I consider that it is obviously a great opportunity I brought my whole family, my parents, my wife, my son, I never do that, but it’s really specialit looks like a job because there are lots of people, lots of cameras, but when I do it with family, it’s a little more than that“.
