In addition, he explained that he found Emmanuel Macron “bizarre” and “elusive”. But that’s not all. During an interview on BFMTV, Michel Sardou was also very blunt about the environmentalist Greta Thunberg. “This one isn’t very clear, it scares me a little all the same… She’s as excited as a clock“, he declared. Then he continued: “I think everyone is green. We don’t want to ruin the world. But on the other hand, I’m not attacking it. I like ecology, I don’t like political ecology […] because they talk about everything except ecology.”
“Stop pissing off the French, that would be good”
After Emmanuel Macron and Greta Thunberg, it’s Anne Hidalgo’s turn to take the blame. The day after the European elections, Anne-Marie Périer’s husband spoke out. “We hate all presidents”, he said, responding to a member of the public. Michel Sardou added that for him, prime ministers are “funny”. And to close it all, he made his audience laugh by saying: “Stop pissing off the French, that would be good.” With these words, the artist left the cinema as he was unable to attend the film. “I’ve never seen a single one of the little films I made, I don’t listen to my records once they go to the press, and I never listen to anything I’ve done again. So tonight I’ll be with you in spirit, but I won’t be there because I’m not a Sardou fan.”, he concluded.
