David Pujadas moderated a debate entitled The great confrontation this Thursday June 13, 2024 live on LCI. Two groups were opposed: the pro-far-right and the anti-far-right. Among them was the actor Yvan Le Bolloc’h who challenged the YouTuber Georges Matharan (who worked for the media Current values And black bookeditor’s note) while the latter mentioned the riots of 2023 after the assassination of young Nahel, whose videos contradicted the version given by the police officer, namely that the teenager had attacked a police officer.

The YouTuber then declared that “refusal to comply results (…) in the death of innocent people. It is a rational choice that police officers must make. They have to choose: do they kill offenders who could potentially kill innocent people, or…“. Yvan Le Bolloc’h immediately cut him off: “So, be careful! There’s a kid who died! Oh !“. But Georges Matharan continued by explaining that yes “the police do not dare to shoot” the offender “kill an innocent” during “the chase“.”How can you know it ?“, asked his interlocutor, confused. “Well… It’s, it’s… It’s happening, eh! Refusals to comply have increased“, the videographer simply retorted. “So it’s better to kill him first?“, the actor was surprised. “Yeah !“, replied Georges Matharan, facing a totally shocked Yvan Le Bolloc’h.
