Since the announcement of the death of Françoise Hardy by her son Thomas Dutronc, a shower of tributes has been falling from almost everywhere. The singer’s niece, Claire Dutronc, also shared her emotion on social networks.

“Thank you all very much for your many messages of affection which touch me very much. » It is with these words that Claire Dutronc, the niece of Françoise Hardy, begins her tribute on her Instagram account. In the caption of a particularly touching photo of the singer, Thomas Dutronc’s cousin shared a few words full of emotion.

Suffering from cancer of the lymphatic system for around twenty years, Françoise Hardy had faded from the artistic and media scene. In December 2023, the artist gave a final interview to Paris Match, speaking about his daily life: “I regularly go to YouTube to discover or re-hear videos that I liked from Thomas, Jacques or myself and lots of others. »

In this previously unpublished photo shared by Claire Dutronc, the singer of “Comment te dire adieu” appears smiling and peaceful in a bucolic setting. The caption reads: “This photo reflects very good times spent in Corsica or in Paris that I want to keep in memory. » It would seem that this photo was taken in the years 2017-2018, in Corsica. Françoise Hardy had purchased land in Monticello to build a house where Jacques Dutronc and his new partner Sylvie Duval reside today.

A tribute for lack of ceremony

Claire Dutronc continues her message as follows: “Beyond the immense artist that she was, I was always amazed by her humility and her doubts. She was an extraordinary woman, always concerned about others, full of humor and self-deprecation. I loved him deeply. Thank you for everything Françoise and obviously a big affectionate thought to my very dear cousin Thomas Dutronc, to his dad. »

The last wishes of Françoise Hardy being particularly sensitive for those close to the singer, it remains to be seen whether Claire Dutronc will be part of the organization of the funeral alongside her work as a journalist at “Europe 1”.
