Glam Rock band Poison have announced their 2026 comeback to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their debut album Look What The Cat Dragged In. This series of concerts, dedicated to longtime fans and newcomers alike, will mark a landmark moment for the group. Drummer Rikki Rockett confirmed that Poison will play “at least 40 shows” across the United States and is even considering a stadium tour with other artists if the opportunity arises.

A birthday tour in preparation

Interviewed on Trunk Nation from SiriusXM, Rikki Rockett revealed the group’s ambition for this anniversary tour: “We agreed to do at least 40 dates, if not more. If a collaboration with another group makes sense, we will do it. If not, we’ll do the headlining tour.” This project will see the reunion of original members, including Bret Michaels, Rikki Rockett, Bobby Dall and CC DeVille, a lineup that fans can’t wait to see back on stage.

Tensions and reunions

Singer Bret Michaels had announced plans to focus on his health in 2025, which pushed back Poison’s tour plans. Last September, Michaels spoke of his need for “rest and recuperation”, sparking some tension within the group. Rockett spoke out on social media, clarifying that not touring in 2025 was Bret’s decision and not the entire group’s.

Despite a relationship marked by ups and downs, the members of Poison share a deep brotherly bond. Bret Michaels said that despite the “occasional fights,” they remain a group of “best friends.” This long-standing friendship and cohesion are driving forces for Poison, which wishes to offer an “authentic and unpretentious” live experience to its fans.
