Studio 13 opens its doors in Lennoxville

Studio 13, a space dedicated to cinema and audiovisual, officially opened its Lennoxville premises on Friday.

In this building on rue Connolly, five Estrie businesses come together under one roof. The objective is to facilitate collaboration between them. The big school, for me, was the National Film Board. Back then, artists, editors, cameramen, directors and sound guys would get together and discuss projects. There it is, the synergy. It’s teamwork and collaboration, the cinema industryinsists the president and producer of Rapide-Blanc, Sylvie Van Brabant.

Studio 13 includes, among other things, an equipment rental agency, production houses, editing rooms and a viewing room. Producer Yvan Pinard, who was interested in cinema since his adolescence, is the instigator of this project.

There’s something going on here. We try to go for high-end while remaining accessible to all artists because we want to help the artistic community.

For Julien-Pier Bélanger and Johan Gass, both co-founders of Onirique, the opportunity to work with other companies involved in cinema is precious. There is a buzz of creativity in the studio. Everything we do here, we could have done elsewhere, but here, the energy is increased tenfold by the presence of others around us, who inspire usinsists Julien-Pier Bélanger. Our dream is to make fiction affordable for our communityadds Johan Gass.

The municipal councilor for the Fairview district in the borough of Lennoxville, Guillaume Lirette-Gélinas, is delighted with the installation of Studio 13 in his sector. It’s such a beautiful story.
