The “Desperate Housewives” return for the 20th anniversary of the series: “We are going to organize a special reunion”

After twelve years of absence, the heroines of “Desperate Housewives” will finally reunite to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the cult series. Eva Longoria, aka Gabrielle Solis, announced this long-awaited reunion during an interview in Cannes.

On October 3, 2004, the small screen met four women, whose lives would captivate viewers: Gaby (Eva Longoria), Lynette (Felicity Huffman), Bree (Marcia Cross) and Susan (Teri Hatcher). The series lasted eight seasons and left its mark on the public with the thrilling adventures of its heroines.

This year marks the twentieth anniversary of this iconic soap opera, an ideal opportunity for the four protagonists to come together and celebrate this long-awaited event. Since 2012, “Desperate Housewives” fans have been eagerly awaiting a reunion moment between the four Fairview icons. And the interpreter of Gabrielle Solis, Eva Longoria, put an end to this wait.

During an interview in Cannes, on Canal+, she shared the news: “I miss playing Gaby, I miss Wisteria Lane… It’s one of the best experiences of my career“, she confided. She then added: “This year we celebrate 20 years of ‘Desperate Housewives’. So we are going to organize a special reunion“.

Eva Longoria clarified that it would not be a “spin off” (derived series), but indeed a unique event. For the moment, none of the other actresses have confirmed this announcement, and it remains to be determined on which channel or platform this meeting will be broadcast, as well as the precise date of the event.
