At the heart of a new plot currently broadcast in Plus belle la vie on TF1, Laurent Kérusoré spoke about his character of Thomas Marci in Télé Star. He notably revealed that the production decided to age him.

Launched in 2004 on France 3, the series “Plus belle la vie” experienced growing success, sometimes reaching more than 6 million viewers before being canceled in November 2022 following a drop in audience.

After its stop on France 3, “Plus belle la vie” returns to TF1 in January 2024, with daily broadcast at 1:40 p.m., thus marking the rebirth of the series with several original actors, including Laurent Kérusoré.

Laurent Kérusoré, interpreter of Thomas Marci, reveals in an interview with Télé Star that his character will be aged on screen, going from 42 to 50 years old, a decision taken to better reflect his real age.

Launched for the first time on France 3 in 2004, series More beautiful life had a difficult start. However, this daily soap opera ended up establishing itself among viewers of the public channel. It thus became one of the most popular programs on French television. Sometimes bringing together more than 6 million viewers.

However, after 18 years of good and loyal service, More beautiful life was deleted by France 3. The drop in audiences for the soap opera pushed the management of France Télévisions to put an end to its production. The series therefore ended on the public channel on Friday November 18, 2022, after a final prime time.

However, more than a year after its termination, More beautiful life managed to rise from its ashes. Indeed, TF1 has decided to recover the series to broadcast it on its antenna. The new version of the daily soap opera was launched on the first channel on Monday January 8, 2024. Previously scheduled at 8:20 p.m. on France 3, the fiction is now broadcast daily from 1:40 p.m. on TF1.

Following the formalization of the return of More beautiful life on TF1, several stars of the series reprized their respective characters. This was particularly the case of Laurent Kérusoré. Present in the soap opera for many years, the interpreter of Thomas Marci has become one of the symbols of this fiction.

Currently at the heart of an intrigue, the actor gave an exclusive interview to the magazine TV Staron newsstands Monday May 13, 2024. During this interview, the face of More beautiful life revealed that his character was going to be aged by the production. As a reminder, Thomas Marci is supposed to be 41 years old on screen, while his interpreter is older.

He will go directly from 42 years old to 50 years old“, underlined Laurent Kérusoré. “It’s something I absolutely wanted. Because I no longer wanted to play a character younger than me. Fans of the series may have questions. But they will quickly move on“, also added the headliner of More beautiful life.
