The Global Cyber University has spoken out while it is at the center of many rumors.
In recent days, Global Cyber University has been accused of being a promotion for a religious cult: the Dahn World sect. If people associate the school with this religious cult, it is because the former president of the university is the founder of the cult.
Among the celebrities who have passed through this school, we can notably cite the members of BTS, and other idols, and Internet users have found different situations pushing them in particular to accuse HYBE of using its artists to promote the religious cult in question .
While BIGHIT Music recently announced measures to protect BTS, it is not the members who are being targeted by netizen attacks but HYBE, as many fear that the company’s groups will be used.
This April 30, the Global Cyber University then took the floor to communicate on the situation, not mentioning the members of BTS on the same occasion.
The university denies any link with religious worship and announces that measures will be taken to fight against defamation targeting the school. The university also warns people about rumors circulating.
Regarding BTS members, and depending on the university:
“The members of BTS were recruited through Big Hit Entertainment auditions in 2010 and they debuted in 2013. Their arrival in college predates their debut or occurred shortly after, so there is no reason why they are associated with a specific organization. »
To be precise, SUGA joined the university in question in March 2013, RM and j-hope in 2014, V and Jimin in 2015, then Jungkook in 2017. All of them graduated from Global Cyber University.
