In “Quotidien”, Timothée Chalamet reveals that he was fined after using the Lime bike
PEOPLE – He is a star but did not escape the fine. Franco-American actor Timothée Chalamet revealed on the set of Daily this Wednesday, January 15, that he was fined after using a Lime electric bike the day before to go to his son’s premiere A Perfect Stranger in London.
The actor who plays Bob Dylan in this biopic first clarified that contrary to what the press had written, including HuffPostthere was no message to be seen behind his use of an electric bike. “There were lots of traffic jams and I went faster on my bike, that’s how it happened”he explained, refuting theories about a nod to the folk artist who shocked his fans in 1965 by “going electric” with his guitar.
But Timothée Chalamet made another revelation: “I wasn’t allowed to park there. So I got fined 65 pounds (a little less than 80 euros, editor’s note). It’s horrible because it was an ad for them! » However, he had indeed ended his rental with his phone as the photos and videos showed.
Preview in Paris
After London on Tuesday evening, the actor and the entire film crew were in Paris for the premiere of the film which will be released on January 29 in France.
The film looks back on the beginnings of Bob Dylan between 1961 and 1965, from his arrival in New York to try to break into music to the fiasco of the Newport festival, including his explosion in the charts and his relationship with the singer Joan Baez.
For this role, Timothée Chalamet is in the running for the Oscar for best actor. However, he missed the statuette at the Golden Globes, which rewarded Adrien Brody for his role in The Brutalist.
