In a press release sent this Monday, January 13, Nicolas Heitz, public prosecutor, has just confirmed that a preliminary investigation is underway into rape following a complaint from an adult victim in the case of the two priests of Loudéac. Investigations continue under the direction of the Saint-Brieuc public prosecutor's office and are entrusted to the research brigade of the Saint-Brieuc gendarmerie company.

In a press release dated Saturday January 11, Mgr Denis Moutel, bishop of Saint-Brieuc and Tréguier, announced that two of his priests officiating in Loudéac, Plémet, Uzel, Plouguenast and Guerlédan, had been laid off following a complaint from two adult women near the church. One of them then filed a complaint with the Loudéac gendarmerie.
